Born in Kansas City, Missouri in 1946, Alegra was one of five girls inspired by their mother to try a little bit of everything. She taught herself as a young girl to quilt, "then learned correct methods along the way." Over the years, she also learned more about original design and working with a variety of materials. As a Fabric Artist now living in Roswell, GA Alegra has been active in juried shows and quilt guilds. "My quilts are meant to be used, loved and enjoyed. Please use it, wash it and use it some more." - designed, pieced and quilted by Alegra Babette Robinson.
